About Us

First National Bank & Trust Co. (FNB) is headquartered in Shawnee, Oklahoma and serves central and western Oklahoma. Originally chartered June 30, 1983 as First Oklahoma Bank, N.A. with a capital structure of $2.5 million, the bank opened its doors on October 29, 1984. The original incorporators were C. L. Craig, Jr., Mark Finley, David Ingram, Jerald O'Connor, Frank Sims and Stephen Sims. Citizen Potawatomi Nation purchased the bank in February 1989.

Current President Larry E. Briggs began managing the daily operations of the bank in November 1994. At that time, FNB moved to a 32,000 square foot building at 130 E MacArthur. In October 1995, the bank's name was changed to First National Bank & Trust Co. The Holdenville Branch of First National Bank opened January 26, 2000 with the Firelake Branch following soon after in May 2001.

In July 2006, First National Bank completed their acquisition of Guarantee State Bank and its locations in Lawton, Mangum, Granite and Willow. FNB purchased the bank from the Charles Greb family who had owned Guarantee State Bank for more than 16 years. The purchase of the four new locations in southwestern Oklahoma brought the total assets and accounts of First National Bank and Trust Company to over 200 million.  FNB’s eighth branch opened February 2007 in Lawton. The bank closed its Willow branch in October 2010 and it's Firelake Branch in March 2018.

Since its founding in 1983, First National Bank has grown steadily through sound financial management practices and by investing time, energy and resources in the communities we serve.
